rinse, lather, repeat - the attacks on kevin jennings, part 11

We're up to number 11.

Today's outrage is again with Revolutionary Voices: A Multicultural Queer Youth Anthology, this time with excerpts from an interview Siobhan Brooks conducted with a sex worker.

I guess Daryl Vocat's artwork didn't do anything for them, so now they're trying again with another contributing author and blaming that on Kevin Jennings (and GLSEN).

As noted earlier, this book came out in 2000 and no one got mad at the book's contents.  Kevin Jennings left GLSEN in 2008, so the notion, again, that Kevin Jennings should be fired from his current position at Department of Education’s Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools because of what someone wrote ten years ago is somewhat akin to grasping at straws.

Oprah Winfrey has recommended bad books herself for her Book Club but I don't see anyone online campaigning to remove her from Daytime TV. Bill O'Reilly has written books about teen hookers addicted to crack; ironically, I can't seem to find a conservative blogger writing eleven part blogs advocating for the removal of O'Reilly from Fox News.

FAIL? yep.  Next.
